i've recentely purchased an old roberts chanter. it's 4-keyed in ebony with catalin
mounts that are now a nice cheezewiz color.
roberts told me the catalin has not been
available for about 20yrs now. what has my curiosity is his dimensions, i've heard several folks state his bore size as well as hole sizes are considerable smaller than most. here's my question and reason for it on this particular roberts chanter, the F,A and B holes are considerably larger than that of my childress or britton chanter and
the bell dimensions are nearly identical this leading to the question, has roberts
changed his design over the past 20yrs or so?
can anyone provide any input on this ?
