RE: Sad news- Michael Shorrock has died

Post by patsky »

My old friend of 35 years, Michael Shorrock of Rhode Island...Bozouki player and husband of the wonderful whistle player Kathleen Coneely, passed away yesterday.

Michael was well respected in the Trad community and known, to most New England Irish musicians, for his open house, generosity and love of Irish music.

Michael had built himself a very nice and well stocked private pub on his Rhode Island farm. Almost every musician in New Engleand has been there at one time or onother for the great sessions.

I will sorely miss michael he was like a brother to me.

All the best,
Pat Sky

Rest in peace, Michael. May you rest in God's palm at the 'eternal session'.

I am sorry to hear that Pat - especially since he was so close to you. I hope you and his family are holding up well and supporting each other.

God Bless,

Michael
