Looks like Robbie Hannan's got a new axe. Anyone know who made it?

That would be his set by the excellent and largely unknown Donegal maker Martin McIntyre.

Martin has made the flat set that Brian Stafford plays a little further up this thread and also the C set that Jarleth Henderson plays. He has also done some repairs on my own C set and although my chanter is by another (modern) maker it is based on one of his.

Tell us something.: I am interested in the uilleann pipes and their typical -and broader- use. I have been composing and arranging for the instrument lately. I enjoy unusual harmonic combinations on the pipes. I use the pipes to play music of other cultures.

Found this video cruising Reddit this morning. Was so impressed at Padraig's handling of the regulators and his command of the "classical" style. Very enjoyable listen - even if it's not the typical Uilleann fare.

Joey Abarta Shreds "The Dear Irish Boy":

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=erzGo7oXB2w

Please Note: This is a humorous video and is in no way a dog at Mr. Abarta, who is a fantastic musician and piper.

I just enjoyed the contrast between the image of someone who is so clearly an accomplished musician and audio that is... not.

New David Power recording on the way. It's a duo album with Willie Kelly on Fiddle. Looking forward to it! I love David's articulation and style.

Thanks for the heads-up on the new record. The Eighteen Moloney is one my favorite records of modern times.
