Yes, that's great bit of video. That was a great show too. I had just moved to the States and my parents would send me over videos of shows that had traditional music on them. This was quite a seminal one for me.

Cheers, it's great to see it again, and without the video interference and colour phasing in and out :)

Too funny!

Did you notice how the three pipers sat there pretty much stone faced while the rest where bouncing, twisting and, in the case of the female fiddle player, throwing her hair around like she was in a Clairol advert?? Such appears to be our lot in life! And the drummer reminded me of Animal from the Muppets

And speaking of that stone face , although this one's probably already been posted:

Gay McKeon 1988 - Flax in Bloor, Braes of Busby http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fO68hUIpUdw
And it's whispered that soon
If we all call the tune
Then the piper will lead us to reason
.

More likely that is The Flax in Bloom (unless you're in Toronto for the Chris Langan Weekend).

It certainly looks like him and BG is a fine fiddler. But it might also be Kevin Burke, another fine fiddler.
