Tell us something.: If you flush your toilet 7 times whilst lilting "The Bucks of Oranmore", an apparition of one of the great pipers of old will appear in the mirror, you will be blessed with good reeds, but cursed with bad bags and bellows.

The set was owned by James and Seamus Ennis too!

Mikie Smyth.

Which of his drones are tuned to the 4th? The bari, the bass, or both? I cannot tell......

How does he tune them that way? Special type of reeds?

And one who has worked really hard to get that good and to keep on getting better. I learned a lot about how to practice from him. Cillian Vallely was there too and he gave a really nice workshop the previous morning. Meeting guys like these does open up your horizons nicely.

He sounds great. Amazing rhythm! Care to share some of his practice tips with us? :)

Apparently, it was entirely unintentional, just a happy accident that worked out well. It adds a unique tone to his piping.

Cool! I'd dare say he is one of the best living pipers out there! A shame he is not more well known.
