I discovered a crack in my best reed today. Is there any way to save it?

Squeeze the crack closed by holding tight at edges with thumb and index finger. Apply a small amount of super-glue along the crack, maintaining pressure on sides until glue is dry. Some people will also polish the super-glue with one of their finger-nails from the other hand.

Where on your reed is the crack? If it's very close to the outside edge, you can use something like a straightened paper clip as a form inside the reed to guard against glueing one side to the other. I think superglue-enhanced reeds are kind of special, myself...(ha)
