experience with Egan Flat Sets?

Anyone have some feedback on M. Egan's flat set design? I did a search on him and surprisingly have come up with mixed reviews... Not to open up that can of worms again, my reason for asking is I'm looking into ordering a flat chanter, and the maker I'm talking to takes his design from an Egan set.

Looking for some info.

Also, I heard it said on a post here at one time that flat sets were Bruce Childress's forte. Comments?

You might want to contact Michael Hubbert, who is working on Egan flat sets. I understand he is highly experienced instrument maker, and has played U pipes for 20 some years.
