Just 'did a mainy' to see how Willie was getting started.
Found this in the street. Hadn't the camera so pic off my phone. Will try more later.

Thanks Peter
Hope you are getting out and about.

Re: Piping Moai
Will you be down for it John?
Currently in the process of easing into it. Will PM the list of planned launches, there seems to be a lot of stuff that was held back or has been around for a bit.

Re: Piping Moai
Hi Peter
Thanks for that.
I checked out the prices at the start of the year and was quoted €1,600 for a room at the Falls so I said that I would give it a miss this year.
With the upsurge in the new Covid variants I would have been a bit reluctant to travel, even if I had made plans.
Thanks
John

Re: Piping Moai
Are there as many people about as before the plague, or prehaps more? I saw on Facebook that there were a 10 or so pipers in Ennis at the Piping heaven/Piping hell session. The ‘Porter och Pipa’ (Porter and Pipe) film made by Lennart Malmer in the mid 60's sounds interesting.

That should be nice. I believe some footage from it was used for the project Jack Talty did two years ago and some for the online Willie as well. The ‘Porter och Pipa’ (Porter and Pipe) film made by Lennart Malmer in the mid 60's sounds interesting
Town was not too packed, for a Willie Saturday night, but I didn't linger, went to the opening, talked to loads of people and had an early night. There were a lot of people around earlier to watch a match, they were drowning their sorrows afterwards. The current covid wave is hanging over it all though.

Keenan played at Willie's graveside, among others but he was the only piper. Stuffy chanter reed playing out. Launch event was a bout of long missed socialising. Came away with enough books and CDs to get me through another lockdown, should things go awry again.
