Easy ABC

Post by Pipewort »

I was kindly put on to this software some years ago. Having had to buy a new machine and reload, the antivirus stops the download. Shame, it was really good. Any other software suitable without this problem available, used and given the thumbs up?

Perhaps pause the anti virus while you Download Easy ABC and then, if you are worried, scan the file before opening?

abc notation .com gives a list of available software, which you can select to suit your needs.

ABC Navigator was a popular one (I abandoned that for EASY ABC though)

I thank you Mr. Grunby, for it was you who put me on to it, and very good it is indeed. I tried again just now, with success, off the list of all the abc software available you put me on to. I first went via The Easy ABC website, which was rejected earlier.

Thanks for replying again; always helpful. And I can now transcribe those tunes I want to learn, to help for the future of perhaps a failing memory, as well as to pick out the details more accurately that the great and good put into the tunes (Transcribe!), recording them also.

I have to admit I have gone back to a hard cover Moleskine manuscript book with pre-printed staff to jot down tunes in pencil.

Besides, it looks better in an archive than a flash drive... :D

Didn't have iron at that point, much less steel.

Best wishes.

I can't help thinking of Padraig O Keeffe, Dennis Murphy and the Bank of Turf. But perhaps that too is taking it to extremes. :D
