Dating Seth Gallagher 3/4 Set

Hi,

I’m awaiting arrival of a 3/4 set made by Seth Gallagher. Brass & ebony? with a patch on the bag. The regulator reeds are also cane. Are there any identifiers on the set I can use to estimate age? Thx!

Seth numbered his chanters, so calling or emailing would probably help pin down the age of the chanter at least.

If you don't hear back from Seth, Post some photos and I can give some amount of info. I worked for Seth for 3 years. I can get in touch with Mike MacNintch too who worked for him for years and years.

looks like the chanter is stamped 30 on its front, where would that put it?

That seems pretty early. I have a chanter from him, finished maybe 2015, its marked 503

Oh yeah...that's going back a bit. My chanter was #96 and that was back in the mid 90's.

Mine (B nat) is #254 and is from the early 2000s (possibly 2002).
