I just reduced the price on a very nice Michael Hubbert B-flat chanter for sale in mountain mahogany with ivory nut mounts. This is a really nice looking chanter with a sound to match. It has five keys plus a stop key. It is in excellent condition and you can see pictures and get details at Pat's uilleann obsession classifieds page. I am asking $2000, or best offer.

Is it a B flat chanter, or a B-flat chanter?

Don't know if you are joking or not, but it is B-flat, or Bb, or a chanter that is a half step below the pitch of B, or two half steps below C, or....How many below D is that? I get confused. (Thanks for pointing that out. I fixed the text but could not do it in the subject line.)

Re: Michael Hubbert B flat chanter for sale
I think what was meant by the question was whether it is a chanter tuned A440 in the pitch of Bb or if it is a model based on older design playing flat of modern Bnat
Edit: I reread it & now I think what was meant is simply - "is it Bb or a Bnat flat chanter". It can get confusing...

I understand the confusion as I play a flat set pitched in B natural. Hyphenation (and punctuation in general) makes for better clarity in the written word.

The terminology can get confusing. Some people use “flat” as a synonym for narrow bore. I prefer using B natural and B flat to describe the pitch.es, rather than the bore.
