WANTED Dave Williams Bellows

Post by ashley3 »

Hello there,

I have just got a Full set by Dave Williams circa 1985 and sadly it is missing the original bellows.

If anyone out there has an original bellows they would be happy to part with please get in touch.

You might be able to reach the guy who made bellows for Dave if you can't find old bellows...I can't remember his name, but someone knows. He's still making bags and bellows, I believe...somewhere in the wilds of Scotland? Someone here knows...I can dig around old e-mails to get his name, but don't have time now.

I have two old Williams sets, one might be as old as your, but the bellows are still tight, amazingly, though the leather flapper is now warped and has to be replaced or fixed.
It's true that you'll catch more flies with honey than vinegar - but a big, steaming pile works best of all.

Lawrence Thomson, I think. He's still making bellows but isn't internet-enabled!

An address came up on an old thread, not sure if it's still accurate.
