That was really nice, thanks for putting it up. It seems like the sound system was better than what we often see with his performances and that was good to hear.

I found that to be very interesting, kind of sad to see him in poor health though, but yes, I am hoping rte uploads much more Ennis in the future, IIRC they have tons of archive footage of him.

Considering the same bits from limited pool of sources are recycled over and over again in new programs, you could be made to think otherwise.I am hoping rte uploads much more Ennis in the future, IIRC they have tons of archive footage of him.
By the way, there was a lovely bit of footage Breandán Breathnach had filmed, Ennis playing Easter Snow, The Lament for the Fox, the Gold Ring and one of the Dusty Millers in one long go. Ennis played slowly and deliberately, beautiful display of piping. I recorded the audio of it when Breandán showed it in 1984(-ish). The videotape that had the copy came to the Willie week a few times and played in the shop. Then it disappeared. When Mitchell was doing the book he moved heaven and earth trying to find the film. It never turned up.
My brain hurts
