Uilleann Pipes 3/4 set in D by Hubert Kwisthout.
£2200

Lovely 3/4 set made with Ebony & brass. Fully reeded and sounding great.

Chanter has high C key and a stop key. Sounds bright, strident and in tune with all the typical Rowsome bore characteristics. Regulators are easy blown and in tune. Keys are nicely sprung and reminiscent of the neat little Michael Egan teardrop keys. Drones are mellow and steady, although the baritone drone has been replaced at some stage by the late J J Maloney. The original baritone sliding section is included, albeit it has a cracked mount (presumably why it’s been swapped). Hubert is still making pipes in London and I imagine he would be willing to do repairs on the drone if necessary but the replacement works fine and suits the overall aesthetic of the set. Comes with case.

Set is stamped on mainstock and regulators.

Be a fantastic instrument for someone who wants a strong D chanter or someone getting into using the regulators.

Kelleher bag and original bellows. Comes with a hard case. From a pet and smoke free home.
