Well, after leaving behind my pipes etc some 12 years ago for personal reasons and to concentrate on my trumpet having been commissioned to form a swing band, I've taken up my whistles again and will hopefully be getting back into the pipes in the New Year (will need to order a new set).
Since 2006, I suffered a subarachnoid brain haemorrhage and survived!!! But I have slowly rebuilt myself although I no longer work apart from voluntary work with CAP.
So, here I am again, I can't remember my old username and have set up a new account, although having a quick look through, I do remember some of the names on here like djm, Rorybbellows, BuskerSean (Sean, I think we met once or twice) billh (I think you may have bought my Andy Faden set???) and others but hey I've got an excuse for a bad memory now, and not just because of my age .
So a big hello to you all and I look forward to my visits to this site and keeping up to date with things.
Yours Mark W

- Tell us something.: Having taken time out from the pipes etc to focus on trumpet for 12 years.
During that time, I suffered a subarachnoid brain haemorrhage and so, after rebuilding myself and coming to terms with my limitations, I'm now slowly getting back into my whistles and maybe pipes next year. - Location: The Glorious Peak District

Hi Sean
I'm still in New Mills in the Peak District. I have a vague memory of you coming here one day, is that so?
How is life in Devon then?
