Post by john »

I know of one tune written by Tommy Keane called the Piper's apron, and one by declan Masterson called the caterpillar. Have either if these written other tunes?

Dont know about the two pipers you mentioned but I know Tomas O Canainn was a prolific tune composer and Paddy Keenan has written a few tunes. While on the subject can anyone comfirm or deny, did Paddy Keenan write the slip jig "the Butterfly" ?

He didn't. Tommy Potts took two parts from different tunes, put them together and composed a third part inspired by the fluttering of a butterfly outside his house.
