Tell us something.: I'm a fiddler and, latterly, a fluter. I love the flute. I wish I'd always played it. I love the whistle as well. I'm blessed in having really lovely instruments for all of my musical interests.

I'm really excited folks! So apologies if I burble ...

The CD I've been working on with my very good friend Gregorio Bellodi, uilleann piper extraordinaire, is out! And I can't tell you how proud I am of it. It's as trad as we could make it - almost entirely fiddle and pipes, some tracks with whistle and/or flute, and no accompaniment. We've managed to get a huge amount of variety out of just those instruments, and I'm as pleased as punch. :) I've only had the thing in my hands since Thursday, and sales are going well so far.

If you'd like a copy please PM or email me.

Thanks Rory. I think I can honestly say that, between Gregorio and me, we've managed to make the CD that I have been looking to buy for some years now. Very trad, it is.

I think you'd like the piping. :)

Tell us something.: I like pipes and other things involving music, like music and pipes. Reeds are an enigma. Though I can make violins, I can not make a reed.

Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

Try NPU to see if they will take a few copies for their shop, they could then write a publicity review in "An Píobaire" and Bob's your uncle.

My copy got here (Houston, Texas area) earlier this week and it is just a really really nice album of great tunes played well. No pyrotechnics, nothing non-trad, just very MUSICAL. A real pleasure. And I don't even know these guys except for see their names on C&F. Well done!

Excellent! I'm glad it got to you OK John. We tried to make an album that we would want to buy - hence the lack of pyrotechnics!

Thanks very much for the kind words. :)

Oh, and, seriously, if you had met those cows, they really are beautiful beasts. For some reason, they're absolutely huge compared with cows we have here in the UK. Must be the breed. I did try to find out, but between my non-existent Italian and the farmer's non-existent English, we were on to a bit of a loser there.
