Dave Williams set with another maker's chanter sale
A friend is selling his Dave Williams D set. So I said I'd see if there is an interest for the set here. The set is by Dave Williams, all except for the chanter. The pipes are ebony and nickel silver and were made in 1994. The chanter was made by the owner of the set, who has studied brass and woodwind repair in England. The chanter is a replica of a Williams chanter, and the reamers used were purchased by Dave Williams afterwards. The chanter is excellent, in tune, and sounds very good. The drones and regulators are made to Dave's usual high standards.

Re: Dave Williams set with another maker's chanter sale
Had an e-mail late last night. The set has been sold, and will go to a new home in England. I don't know how much the set sold for though. It's not often a Dave Williams set comes up for sale. In 2008 a D set sold for £7700. It's possible prices have fallen since 2008?
