Hey fellas,
Was thinking to myself the otherday that are there any albums with (traditional) Christmas carols played mainly/also on the pipes?
If there aren't, there definitely should be. I know I'd buy 'em.
Taking suggestions of any kind of Christmas albums featuring Irish Trad instruments, if you know of any.

This one's on the player now: http://barramacneils.com/2014/10/the-christmas-album/. Perhaps more of a Scottish heritage, but similar instrumentation and more traditional carols and Christmas songs than the album above. No pipes, though.

- Tell us something.: A whistler and a beginner Uilleann piper from Scandinavia. Maybe some day a piper during this life time.

Re: Christmas pipes?
I have that one, and there is some nice flat-set piping by Ronan Browne on a few tunes, but more low whistle and singing than anything. Róisín Elsafty has a lovely singing voice also. Some of the carols seemed a bit contrived to me; i.e. the English carols translated to and sung in Irish, but overall still a nice record.chaos97 wrote:Surprised this one hasn't been mentioned yet
