Hi all. The drone switch on my set is really stiff and requires a lot of effort to move. I've been reading around and keep seeing references to removing the rod from the mainstock and applying cork grease, but I have no clue how to do this and can't find any pictures or videos that describe the process. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks!
How to access/remove rod from mainstock?

Re: How to access/remove rod from mainstock?
Hello again. After getting over my initial paranoia of totally screwing up my set, and fiddling around with it a bit, I figured it out. Thanks anyway.

- Tell us something.: Pipes have become my main instrument, but I still play the flute. I have emerged from the "instrument acquisition" phase, and am now down to one full set of pipes (Gordon Galloway), and one flute (Hudson Siccama).

How did you do it? Having the same problem, but unlike you, haven't figured out what to do....

Watch "Hollow Mainstock Upgrade, Uilleann Pipes" on YouTube. That should point you in the right direction.
