Patsy Brown blockmounts?

Post by Hans-Joerg »

Does somebody know wether Patsy Brown also made chanters with those longish blockmounts for the keys? There is just knowledge and pictures of his ribbon-style chanters and of his Boehm-style chanters.

I own three Patsy Brown chanters (one of them a double bored chanter) and they all have ribbon keys. I have another early 1900s Taylor-style chanter with block keys as you describe, although it is not a Brown.

I’ve never seen a chanter attributed to Mr Brown that has block keys, although perhaps someone else has? I’d be interested to know.
