Hello all,
Okay so here is one of my latest issues. I have a cane reed inside my tenor drone and when I go to play a tune, with all drones going it begins to squaw in a piercing c sharp. The bridle of the reed is all the way out, and so is the drone slide - just about to the hemp wrapping. So I move the bridle down, allowing me to move the tenor slide down to tune but then if I try to play, especially with a regulator, the tenor will cut out. Any advice on how to solve this issue?
Thank you.

Re: Tenor drone squawks
My tenor drone goes very tempremental in dry weather. You could try either some of the humidifying techniques discussed elsewhere on the forum, or try the method of attaching a very small blob of wax / blu-tack to the end of the reed blade. This will flatten and coarsen the sound but may get it working and is easily reversible.
