Looked at your link m4malious Lots of good info, it would not have made much sense before I made my first chanter but reading now I can pick and choose. I used a 6mm bit up to the 8mm on the plot then a 4mm bit Large to small I designed and fit a number of steadies for the lathe and Craig showed a way of sharpening bits that helps to stop bits wandering. I drill and remove at 15mm intervals
slowly slowly.
