V pipes reviewed after a few months of buying

Post by simshiller »

I had gone for V pipes due to a finger condition making it difficult to keep enough pressure on to seal the hole on a normal set of pipes. The V pipes make it possible for me to play which is great as I missed it a lot.
They enable you to bend notes and pop notes and get hard D which is good but obviously don't quite have what I would call the oomph and nasal strangeness of a traditional set.
I found the extensive manual counter intuitive (possibly this is due to my way of thinking) but generally I find manuals for most things okay to understand.
The people at V pipes have always responded quickly to any difficulties in operating the pipes which has helped greatly. Obviously no reed tinkering is a relief and playing on something that looks like Lieutenant Uhuru's sex toy has its advantages.
