Just a reminder of the Pipers Gathering in August in Connecticut. Lots of stuff for UPipers. Instruction from Brian McNamara and Benedict Koehler. Chris Gray providing instruction for beginners. Small class size (about a dozen UPipers presently registered) ensures lots of direct contact with Benedict and Brian. And Chris is great with folks just getting started—or wanting to get started.
Workshops include: Benedict on reed-making, Benedict and Hilari Farrington on "Session Repertoire for Irish Sessions", Will Woodson on "The Musical Legacy of the Donegal Pipers", and Brian McNamara on "The Voice on the Pipes (slow airs for UP)".
Lots of session opportunities as there will also be fiddles, fretted instruments, flutes, and whistles in attendance. And, of course, concerts in the evenings.
