Recorded live in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Jimmy Moore and Pat Broaders are from Ireland--living in Chicago. I like the pipes, He plays good, but that elelctric guitar backup - well, you know...
If you like the Limestone Rock, you gotta hear this one on the C set.

What make of chanter and drones/regs is Pat using here?

Yeah, that's a big O'ring. I pushed the full screen button on YouTube and it looks like the ring dangles back behind the regs far enough.

Don't know, but there seems to be a few people here that know him. Reading his profile, it looks like he's already had a nice future here since 1990. He plays with a lot of well knowns and is, or has, already made his own CD.

I find it interesting, unusual and just a little sad that the sessioneers feel they need to have microphones for their session.

Who says the sessioneers feel they need them? We have mics at the session I lead, but that was at the landlord's request, so he could pipe the music upstairs and out to the sidewalk, enticing passersby to enter and enjoy. We reluctantly agreed, and it's worked out just fine.
I've devised an inconspicuous setup, with the mics hanging from a rig on the ceiling, with small monitors just above them. When it's crowded in the pub we can still hear one another over the mating cries of the punters.
What's more than a little sad is that the owner of the pub in that clip won't turn off the d@mn TV...
