Some people post links by, for example "see it here", and you can click on the word 'here' (or whatever they have specified) to go to the link.

Howda ya do tha?

On quoting, people get "Jo-Bob said:" to appear in tead of just "quote:".

Howda ya do tha?

Sorry if a gazillion people have already asked this

Use the [url] tags this way:
Code:
You can find Irish tunes by [url=http://thesession.org]clicking here[/url]

Which will look like this:
You can find Irish tunes by clicking here

Whatever is after url= is the URL, and the words in between ] and [/url] will be the link text.
The url syntax is pretty picky, though. Make sure the URL starts with http://

you can always look at how someone has done something by clicking the "Quote" button. (upper right corner...) What is how ya do the quote thing.

Ya might want to read the Posting Images sticky on the test forum...

Oh, I missed that part. When quoting, putting ="sometext" after the
[quote will cause sometext to appear before "wrote:" When you hit
the quote button on a post, the poster's name is automatically put in
for sometext, but you can always modify it.
Code:
[quote="Someone smarter than I"]something profound...[/quote]

will produce:
Someone smarter than I wrote:
something profound...
