Problems with PMs

Post by Roger O'Keeffe »

I tried to send a PM today and it's remaining stuck in my outbox along with a message that I thought I had sent several months ago.

I've ensured that all my boxes are less than 50% full, logged off, logged on again, deleted the message from some months ago, logged off, logged on again, deleted the new message, logged off, logged on again and tried to send it as a new message, all to no avail.

Heeeelllllllpppp! Please!

messages sit in the outbox until they are picked up by the recipient.

I rather thought that messages remained in the Outbox until
the intended recipient opened it. I had one in there for a year
because the user stopped loggin on, and therefore never saw
the message.

Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

Wanderer and fearfaoin are correct. Now, if you know the recipient is aware of your attempt to send the PM and hasn't received it (I imagine email or phone contact would bear this out), that's another thing, and I think rich should be contacted.

If you want to test the system, PM yourself. Your message will be both in your Out box and In box until you read the message in your In box, at which time it will no longer in your out box.
