Wassup here?

Post by SteveShaw »

Chiff 'n' Fipple is a bit of a cripple on my computer lately. Pages taking ages to load up, internal server error messages at foot of page, "Click here to view your message," "Preview" and "Submit" buttons sometimes reluctant to respond. Sometimes takes ages to submit a message and then for the edit button to pop up. Is it just me? :boggle:

He jested, quaff'd and swore."

They cut me down and I leapt up high

I am the lord of the dance, said he!

Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

No. I have the server error message all the time now. And I also experience slow loads, although that comes and goes. I just chalked it up to a new 'puter with major firewall and virus protection making things balkier. Hmm.

I thought that too, but even though my upgraded McCrappy antivirus can be a bit of a pig I'm sure it's not that. I'm having a particularly bad time tonight. I'll go away for two minutes and top my whisky glass up I think.

Sounds like a plan.

Every time I get a horrendously slow load-time, I get the paranoid notion that I'm being spied on by cyberpolice or hackers.

Well they won't find much of interest this end. Not even money.

Hmm. The "server error" message is gone, now, but the number of persons chatting is listed as "[n/a]". That's different.

Yes. The caprice of it unnerves me. It's made me take up the fidget of scratching myself to infection.
