Dear moderators. My previous account, which was active last week, has been de-activated. I have been a member of this forum for over four years and have participated periodically and politely.
I went to sign on this morning and could not access the forum. When checking to see if I had forgotten my pass, I entered my user name and e-mail address to which I received a message something like "your account is currently inactive. Please contact the forum administrator for more information."
Easily enough, I simply registered as a new user, but cannot use my old user name because it's already "in use."
Is there something amiss? Am I missing something, here?
Confused and frustrated,
Dain Forsythe
Previous four year or longer account de-activated. Why?

Hi, dainforsythe. A little while back there had been a purging of the entire memberlist for blatant spam accounts, and yours may have mistakenly gotten deactivated. If that's the case, we're very sorry for your inconvenience, and welcome back. If there's another explanation, I'm at a loss.
