I'm new on her. Trying to post a photo of a wind instrument for help in identifying what it is. How do you post a photo.

Could you help us out, here? What are you referring to? The [/img] thingy?

Aha. Let's move you to Forum Support, first, then. :)

Oh, and it'll be best if you post from this point on, rather than edit.

Do you want to post from a Web source, or your own?

That's something I don't know how to do yet, either. I was hoping someone would have weighed in by now for you. Anyone?

  • Go to imgur.com and sign up for an account.
  • Their home landing page is crap now and geared toward posts and social sharing within imgur itself, and doesn't make it easy to post photos to share externally.. Ignore everything on that home page and instead click on the icon on the far top right. In the dropdown, select "images"
  • Click "add images"
  • Either drag the file from your computer to the little box in the browser, or click "Browse" and go to the image and select it.
  • After the image uploads, click on it, and look at the various links on the right. Choose the one that says "bbcode" and copy it.
  • paste it here.

It would appear that this site does not host pictures, so you will have to create an account with an online hosting site.
Once signed up, you upload your image from your computer to that site, which should then let you copy the URL of that image, which you then paste between the image tags that you will find above the reply box when you go to make your post.
