EQ'ing voice, fiddle, and accordion

Hey,

This regards our practice space:

My band is gonna be running three instruments into a PA via a small mixer: voice, fiddle, and accordion. Any suggestions on how to EQ the mix? Going acoustic isn't an option, since we have to contend with drums, an electric guitar, an acoustic-electric guitar, and a bass, all amp'd independently.

The mixer has 3-band EQ on each channel.

Hi, welcome. But it's a weird question. Like painting a picture and asking what colors to use. The answer is: the right colors.

Really ... EQ depends on your instruments, speakers, pickups/mikes, volume, the size/shape of the room, the rest of the mix, individual performance techniques, and how you want it to sound. No one can know but you.

For acoustic instruments you may not have to touch the channel EQs at all. Just leave everything in the middle, set the levels and go.

Fiddle sound too harsh? Roll off the treble. Singer using proximity effect? Roll off the bass. Accordion feeding back? Roll off the midrange. Etc.
