New versions of Tunepal now available

In case you missed it, I released new versions of Tunepal and these are now available on the Android marketplace and Apple App store:

New features:
Tune editing & composition tools in all the apps
Now 16,700 tunes in the database
Search single or multiple tunebooks
Get tune discographies and search youtube for recordings of tunes
An iPad optimised version that takes advantage of the big screen
Pause and restart playback of tunes
All the apps can be switched between Irish and English interfaces

The new website is also live with:
A new, better looking cross platform Java applet
Ability to search by title as well as by playing

I just installed the iPad version, and you're right, its amazing. Love having the full screen for the notation!

I have Tunepal on the iPod Touch, 3rd gen., ver. 4.1
After the recent update, I can't open it anymore. The start screen shows up for a second, and then it crashes. Rebooting the system doesn't help either.


Just installed ver. 4.2.1. The same problem.

I just updated my tunepal (which I only bought recently, shortly before the pre-Christmas update; so I haven't used it much yet).

Now that I've updated, I'm finding tunepal cannot recognize any of the tunes I play, not even the extremely common tunes.

At this point, I can't say that I'd recommend the update.....

I figured out the problem: The Preferences has a list of tune books that the app checks against. After the update, for some reason all but one of those tune books were un-checked. I just needed to check them back on, and now Tunepal is working again.
