iPhone4 to be available on other networks?

Post by ancientfifer »

Just saw this article announcing the 2011 release of a new iPhone4 adapted for CDMA technology used by Verizon wireless and Sprint. So, I may finally be able to fire up tune pal at a session to tell my cohorts the name of the tune just played when no one can remember?! :o

I read the same report. I'll believe it when I see it in the stores.

I've read from some sources that the iPhone coming to Verizon in 2011 is close to a 100% guarantee. I hope so... I have T-Mobile, so it still wouldn't benefit yet, but it makes me one step closer. It would be great to hear something by the end of this year, one way or the other, because otherwise I'll be getting an iPod Touch for Christmas (or at least dropping hints for one!).

I do that right now with my Verizon Android phone...
so if that's all you're waiting for, you don't necessarily
have to wait for the Verizon iPhone. Though, there are
plenty of other reasons to wait, of course.

I'm relatively sure Apple has had CDMA chips for quite
awhile, but it's the business end that holds them to
AT&T. So, I'm with eskin, rumors about this subject
have been flowing fast and free, often with the weight
of mainstream media to make it seem legit, so I'll believe
it when I see it.
