I just downloaded the new 2.0 version of the Amazing Slow Downer for the iPhone/iPod Touch. It is amazing. It is now able to directly access the music in your iTunes music library, previously you had to upload files to the app. Requires iOS4 on the device.

There is both a free and paid version, the only difference is the free version will only play the first quarter of the song, which for learning trad tunes is probably a non-issue for a lot of uses.

Any half decent DAW will have a spectral viewer somwhere.
failing that im certin there are very good spectral display VST's which just show you the thing in a window.
