Please could buskers out there recommend some kit for busking on flute and uilleann pipes. I'm not looking to get anything grand or of very high quality just something that's loud enough that doesn't ruin the tone.

Well, you wont get cheap and loud, good tone. Fishman amps are great and I have a Loudbox mini and very happy with it!

It's been 20 years, but I did just fine with a radio shack collar mic and a pignose battery amp, As long as I didn't turn the amp above 50%, it sounded pretty clean and carried my flute sound to the far corners of the subway station I was playing in.

I stripped the clip, etc., off the mic and then used an elastic band (from a bunch of broccoli) to attach it to my flute about 1/2 an inch north of the embouchure hole. It sounded great. Or at least, not any different.

if anyone has the time to look could they say if they think any of the following look like they'd work okay in conjunction with a roland micro cube:

In my humble opinion, the Micro Cube is indeed a good option for busking. I have one here at home. As for the clip on mics, they appear suspiciously cheap. A good condenser mic usually costs 100+ euros...
