Need your help for translation

Post by Merry »

Hello everyone.
I'm new to this forum and as I said in the subject I need your help to translate 3 words in Irish. I do not really trust with online translator.
So if you could translate the words "believe, hope and freedom, I'll be very happy!
Thank you in advance!

PS: Sorry for the language I'm French and I'm not very good at English !

Two questions ...

1. Do you really mean "believe" = croyez! ou croire ? Or do you really want the noun "belief" = croyance? C'est à dire : croyance, espoir et liberté ...

2. What is the purpose of your translation? We need to know.

Also, if you want the verb "believe" (as MTGuru said, "croyez"), we need to know if you want the singular or plural form (Irish doesn't have a formal form, as French does, simply singular and plural).

That's great that you ask for clarification, I could not express myself clearly!
Indeed it is belief and not believe it!
There is no context in fact, I wish those three words tattooed on his wrist, and I came on this forum to avoid having a huge mistake on my skin for life!
I hope I am clear in my explanations!

Ho and why this forum is no translation for tattoos? It is an ethical issue?
Anyway thank you for the address of the other forum I'm going there now!

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

Partially ethical, I think, and partially because of liability issues. Mainly, though, because this forum was created primarily for people with an interest in Celtic music, and this particular sub-forum for people who want to talk about Irish, Scottish, Welsh, Manx, etc. terminology in relation to music, find translations of tune titles and songs, etc. It was never intended to be a translation service.

Don't worry though...IGTF will get it done for you!
