eirigh a shiúir is a lovely song that appeared on the album "portland" by kevin burke and micheal o' domhnaill. does anyone have the irish words and english translation that were on the inner sleeve of the lp version?
Information is not knowledge.
Knowledge is not wisdom.
Wisdom is not truth.
Truth is not beauty. Beauty is not love.
Love is not music. Music is the best.

I'm not finding anything at all on-line, I'm afraid. All I can tell you is the title means "Arise, O Sister" (and uses the form of "sister" that means "nun," not the kind that means your actual sibling).

You might want to ask this at http://www.irishgaelictranslator.com/translation/. There are more people over there, several of whom are involved in music.
