Chiff and Fipple Forums

This is my collection.

From left to right:

- Hamilton D (2001)
- Moeck Renaissance Tenor Flute (late 1990s)
- Ferris F-Flute high pitched, ebonite with 6 keys (2010)
- Bleazy G-Flute, Holly (1998)
- Homemade C-fife (my first and last attempt to turn anything else then a candleholder )
- PVC Piccolo from Jem Hammond (2010)
- Billy Miller Bamboo A-Flute (2010)
- Billy Miller Bamboo F-Flute (2010)
- 5-Hon Shinobue made by Ranjo, bought in Tokyo (2007)


Here is a close look to my Hamilton flute. I attached a replica Celtic silver coin to a new endcap with the help of a friendly dental technician.


And last but not least a Bansuri made in Germany resting on a homemade stand made from a tree root.

Finally! Someone posted a music file on this site that wasn't ITM. I thought this sounded lovely and the too much reverb was totally called for. I liked the very high notes, you held those well. Please post some more.

This Shinobue has a really good response and is very easy to play and I am sure the seventh hole (F# below A) gives nice musical possibilities.
Since I am quite new to the chiff&fipple board I am not sure which forum is appropriate to talk about non western flutes. Would that be the world / folk winds forum?
