Hey guys, I'm new on this forum so please excuse the questions.
I'm currently doing a project study on CNC machining,
Title of Project - 'A study on the operational capabilities of the Boxford CNC Lathe.'
Objectives :
- To analyze current functions, advantages and disadvantages of the postprocessor.
- To determine more feasible methods to achieve specified tasks, i.e. toolpath, tooling, safety
- To encorporate Solidworks and Mastercam projects with the Boxford lathe.
- Implementing and testing the developed postprocessor.
Honestly, I do not know much about this topic as it is all new to me. I'm still trying to understand what exactly is a post processor lol.
Basically, I need to state a problem definition with respect to the project title and objects, such as why is a postprocessor necessary, and why there isn't one currently.
Can anyone help me on this study please?
