FT or FS: half-size student violin

Post by JS »

I offered this student fiddle some time back, and it's still in the house. It's too decent a starter instrument to go unplayed. I'd be happy to consider trades for whistles (especially in A,G,F or lower) or good quality bamboo flutes. Here's the original ad:

For Sale: a half-size student violin, German (A. Schroetter), but I've no idea how old--I'd guess twenty years, at least. It is in good playing condition, with a recent professional set-up and a tailpiece with integrated fine tuners. Some nicks, scratches, etc., but no cracks. Good full tone. Comes with a standard-issue Glasser plastic bow and a hard-shell case (two kids' names Sharpied onto the label).

Happy to send pics. I'm selling for the usual reason--kids grow, fiddles don't. $125 including stateside postage. Please PM if you're interested.
