FS: National Resophonic RM1 mandolin with hotplate

Post by tommyk »

I will happily email or text photos.

All-maple. Super figure all over - front, back, sides, neck.
Only / original owner. Smoke free 100%. Only ever sported Thomastik-Infeld flats.
Served me well for several years. Had it refretted a few months ago and have not touched it since (other than to hear how perfect the refretting was).
Brilliant. By David Strait, certified Taylor, Martin, Fender tech.
I have absolutely loved performing with this instrument.
My focus is simply on other instruments at the moment.
With Hotplate.
When ordering (original owner) from Artisan Guitars, they wisely advised me to go with the Maple body since I was getting the version with the Hotplate.
They were correct - I have owned both the walnut body version and this one. The extra weight of the Hotplate does tend to deaden the tone a bit - the maple body cuts right through that, while still being mellowed by the Hotplate's presence.
Case has travel stickers and a few nicks in the covering, but truly Excellent all over.
$3,300, shipping included within the contiguous United States (buyers elsewhere will pay an extra $100 towards shipping).
Looks like you'll wait about 10 months for a brand new order of one of these.
