I have a Carbony G whistle that, like all Carbonys, is in-tune, light, and very well-made. It has two thumbholes (from the maker, Rob Gandara): the lower one for Bb and the higher one for F natural. (Obviously would equate to Fnat / Cnat on a D whistle.) It comes in a tartan drawstring bag, and I haven't played it much.
I'm looking to trade it because it's just not a timbre that I enjoy. I'm into the big fat almost brassy sounds. And it has a more delicate, pure tone. It's pretty much like this example here:
https://youtu.be/c0srjFLUjv8You can see that this configuration with the two thumbholes is $290 USD on Grey Larsen's site, where I got it:
https://greylarsen.com/shop/product/car ... d-c-and-b/I'd like to swap ideally for an MK Pro but open to suggestions on anything else. Keys I'm looking for are low E, G, A, or Bb.I do also have a Thunderbird A (non-tuneable) by Phil Hardy (this model:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IJXYu-xrpo ). It's nice but I should have got a tuneable one. Also I am into fancy cross-fingerings and it doesn't quite do the Fnat that I like. So am willing to trade that too if you are interested – either together with the Carbony if you have one really nice whistle to trade or two that together make up a similar value.
Basically I am open to suggestions! But UK only I am afraid because I don't really want the fuss of posting internationally. Obviously I'll package the whistle/s well and use sign-on-delivery, and would expect you to do so too.
