WTB: high D whistle head

Post by Katharine »

I broke something inside the head of my Walton high D that I assumed isn't fix-able, and it's killing me because I love this whistle. Figured I'd ask around and see if anyone has any orphaned heads lying around (from old dented whistle bodies, or past tweaks-- I know some of you have swapped heads between tubes and may have the "old" head left over-- whatever). I don't think I'm picky on brand as long as it'll fit (this is the regular Walton, not the Mello D-- I assume most cheap whistles are around the same size?). Worst that can happen is that I no longer like the sound... or I could end up with a fun Frankenwhistle. :)

(Or, yes, I could just buy a new Walton for cheap, but this might be more interesting, and probably no more of a hassle during a time when whistle stores may have low stock.)
Here's tae us--
Wha's like us?
Damn few--
And they're a' deid--
Mair's the pity.
