Hi,

I'm selling my Tom Aebi eight-keyed Rudall model flute. Made from blackwood. I got it new from Tom in 2010 and used it on various recordings and for about 500 concerts and countless sessions all over the world. This has been my prime touring instrument until September 2019. Reason for sale is that I am making eight-keyed flutes myself now and switched to playing my own instruments exclusively.

Features: eight keys, Tom's 2010 Rudall medium bore large holes model. Powerful flute, even with its medium bore. I never missed the Pratten I had before this one. Tom usually does threaded joints, I replaced them with cork shortly after I got the flute. Pewter plug foot keys (C# and C), working perfectly without oil. Pads are old but fine, I replaced the long F pad when overhauling the flute for selling. Readily overhauled, oiled and good to go.

Known issues: the flute has a hairline crack in the socket of the lower middle joint that happened in 2010, a few weeks after I got the flute. Has been repaired by me and been stable ever since. Has a few dings here and there from being played regularly, but no more cracks or other flaws. That's it, no other issues.

I can supply more photos of details, just let me know.

Asking price is 3500 euros o.n.o. plus shipping, I prefer to send within europe but can send the flute worldwide if desired. CITES shouldn't be an issue anymore.

Of course I will desinfect the flute thoroughly before dispatching.

Let me know if you're interested.

Cheers,
Steffen
