Tell us something.: May 2022, I'm a second-time beginner to the whistle and low whistle after a three-year gap due to a chest injury brought to an end twelve years of playing. I've started on a high whistle and much is coming back quickly but it will be a while before I can manage a Low D again where my interest really lies. I chiefly love slow airs rather than dance tunes and am a fan of the likes of Davy Spillane, Eoin Duignan, Fred Morrison and Paddy Keenan.

FS: Unique Goldie Low D (Mint condition) SOLD

I have for sale a unique Colin Goldie Low D that has been played for less than an hour and is in mint condition. It has a lovely tone and is a soft/medium blower. But it has a shorter beak than normal giving a slightly more responsive whistle and a shorter window than the standard whistle that produces a much easier second octave while retaining a good first. The whistle also comes with a matching big hole body for a fatter sound that's great for the likes of airs. I'm asking £220 which is about £100 less than the new whistle and second body would cost. Insured shipping in the UK is £8.55, Europe £12.50 and elsewhere £17.30. Please PM me with any questions you may have. This a lovely whistle but I'm more comfortable playing my harder-blowing Goldie which is the reason I'm selling it.
