FS: Bleazey Olivewood Flute $550 — SOLD

SALE PENDING 17 JULY

I bought this a while back partly because I was interested to see what Phil Bleazey's flutes are like and partly because I thought the olivewood was very attractive. When I got it, I really liked the looks and the embouchure but the bore was somewhat less than polished and the intonation was slightly off. Jon C/Cochran Flutes cleaned up those issues and declared, "The Bleazey is now a very nice instrument." I agree with him.

This is Mr. Bleazey's #1186, but I don't have the date it was made. More info on his instruments on his web page. Rings and tuning slide look to be silver plated. Tenons are corked.

It has small finger holes and isn't a session blaster but I've played it with pipes, fiddle and box and they can all hear me (well enough to critique my playing). It plays with a nice sweet tone. I like this instrument and am selling only because there are just too many in the flute box. It's been well cared for, oiled and kept in consistent humidity. No cracks, dents, dings or other signs of wear.

Price of $550 postpaid in US. PayPal is fine. Contact either via PM or email buttons below.
