I'm selling this keyless Pratten flute, bought from Windward in 2009, because of having subsequently purchased a keyed version of the same flute from them. It's in excellent condition, with a powerful, lovely sound that carries well in sessions. This flute is made of grenadilla with bronze rings and an ornamental olive wood disk set into the top of the head joint. I've liked having the color of the rings darken to pewter but it would be easy to keep them shiny. The joints, as with all Windward instruments, are wound with thread--allowing them to be perfectly snug in all seasons. The flute comes with a hard case covered with kidskin and a green Altieri shoulder bag to zip that case up in for traveling.
