FS: Overton Low C made by Colin Goldie (his signature is inside) in excellent clean condition. A softer blower, the stretch is quite easy for someone used to a Goldie Low D (5cm between two bottom holes centre to centre) and it has remarkably low air requirements. However, with current lung problems it will be very last whistle I can use for some time to come. Reluctant sale. £200 plus shipping - £8.55 in the UK insured next day delivery, £17.05 overseas)

- Tell us something.: May 2022, I'm a second-time beginner to the whistle and low whistle after a three-year gap due to a chest injury brought to an end twelve years of playing. I've started on a high whistle and much is coming back quickly but it will be a while before I can manage a Low D again where my interest really lies. I chiefly love slow airs rather than dance tunes and am a fan of the likes of Davy Spillane, Eoin Duignan, Fred Morrison and Paddy Keenan.
