It is very well made, has good intonation and an even sound throughout the range. Its sound is warmer than a blackwood flute (including blackwood flutes by the same maker). It has a very nice 'buzz' rather than the somewhat harsher sound of blackwood. It has been fondly cared for and is in perfect condition.
